Habitat Cabarrus is a Christian nonprofit housing ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard housing in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, through advocacy, training, support and construction of safe, decent and affordable housing.

Challenge

Walker needed to create a collateral piece to best represent the exceptional efforts of Habitat Cabarrus for the lowest investment. The piece needed to be clean, professional and informative, yet able to effectively convey the stories of those whose lives Habitat Cabarrus has touched and redirected.

Solution

Walker worked with the client to create a look and feel that communicated not only the financial needs of the home-building organization but also the much greater needs of their beneficiaries.

The finished product was a well conceived, comprehensive and artistic annual report which demonstrated the effectiveness of Habitat Cabarrus to the corporate-level investor. It also allowed Habitat Cabarrus to tell its whole story by quantifying its successes through facts and illustrating local statistics.

Results

The annual report is one of their most important tools for raising awareness and funding. The information presented in this report also served as a soft sell to donors and clearly demonstrated that their gift would be invested in helping the community.
